Explain to your child that he/she is allowed to get up from bed two times (to use the potty, get a drink of water or have another kiss). Each time, your child must hand you one of the two removable lights. Parents should take each light and return the child to bed quietly. Once the removable lights are gone, the stoplight is red, and that means "Stay In Bed!" Remind the child that he or she must now stay put. “The light is red, so stay in bed.”
